Rock-split kit in pictures - shows easily portable

This is how portable the "rock splitting kit" / "boulder splitting kit" is...

Using it, it needs no external supplies - power, water, etc. This is portability in more than one sense.

This is what is in the rock-splitting kit:

• group top left - protection
• top right - the "cordless" battery-powerd SDS drill
• group top right - bottle etc - gives jet of water so drilled material is as slurry - no dust
• lower/middle group - masonry drills and non-rotative impact-only pick-bit (for prizing-apart boulders with a split); feathers and hammer to tap them plus graphited thin oil to lubricate wedge&feathers
• rope pads the bottom of the bag to protect contents, and is there to manually haul the kit up the shaft if the winder with skip cannot take kit to surface

Closing explanation - this kit is for using down a mine to break-up boulders needing to be broken-up to remove them.
Hence the kit must be portable in constricted spaces (it is), is extremely advantageous if it needs no external power or other supplies (this kit yes), must not raise fine silica dust (reason for water in bottle with fine hole in lid plus spare watertight lids), and must be inexpensive and robust given harshness of mine conditions.
