Mixed line-element and shell-element FEA model

I've chosen to say "model", not "simulation", because no checks have been done on these :

• "convergence"
• peer-review
• lookover / sleep-on-it
• etc

For "plausibility", I simulated with different plate thicknesses

• 20mm -> "too thin" - negligible deformation of beam - all movement was rotation distorting the plate
• 100mm -> "too thick" - all deformation was bending of the beam - plate had negligible distortion
• 50mm -> "matched" = this case - both beam and plate distort
