This is my Armstrong MT500 motorcycle. It's a rugged ex-Army bike. They were designed for toughness above delicate off-road performance, being based on the Italian SWM desert-racer of the 1980's.
I/we toured for hundreds and hundreds of miles on this bike. The motor, an Austrian Rotax, is actually quite modern (4valves-per-cylinder, balancer-shafts, etc) so overall it's a very pleasant willing bike.
The pillion footrests don't come as standard on the ex-Army bike. I had to make them by forming sheet steel and welding using a MIG welder.
