Hose-lashing with blue rope

Problem with fatigue testing machines is they are prime targets for fatigue themselves. Here on servo-hydraulic fatigue test machine, lashing hoses with rope so don't dance-around and chafe against each other.

So there's "whipping" (lower pic) and "stacked figure-of-eight" lashing so hoses can still pulse but not jump and don't chafe. The lashing around the hydraulic connectors next to machine (top picture right) is gentle but enough to stop the hoses twisting around in the connector every pulse - up to 10 per second.
